September Review

Happy October! I know I am not alone when I say how ready I am for cooler temps and cozy sweaters. It looks like we still have a few weeks until we are really there, though. September was oh fun and relaxing. It was bit of a slower month for me, and if you read my August Review, you may remember it was a BUSY one, packed with traveling and weddings.
I am thrilled that Fall has begun and I have had the chance to enjoy it, away from the computer screen!

CONS:
Because of some confusion on one order, I have started using a better invoicing system. Pricing for custom paper is NO joke, and there are so many factors, products and TIME that go into the equation, it can get overwhelming for a client and difficult to explain to them.  My husband helps me with this, as I continue to learn that numbers are NOT MY THING!
I am still waiting to share so many projects with you all, some styled and some weddings. This isn't really a "con" at all, but the anticipation is killing me!

PROS:
September was fully embraced and restful. It was definitely quality over quantity and was FULL of inquiries. My Spring is almost booked solid, and I feel so fortunate! Mostly local events for styling and florals, and one out of town! It looks like Winter will be nice and calm for me as well, no complaints about that! I head to Nashville next week for a site visit with a lovely April bride! I cannot wait!
I was featured on Weddings Unveiled, alongside some of my favorite vendors.
I met the sweet, Kaylie Poplin, of Kaylie B. Poplin Photography, for lunch and she is as kind as she is talented! We have some fun projects up our sleeves that I have wanted to do for so long! She is such a breath of fresh air and I can't wait to work together!

Jennifer and John Philip | Letterpress Invitations

I am happy to share Jen + JP's beachy letterpress invitations! Their wedding is right around the corner in Charleston, South Carolina. Some of you may remember the inspiration board I shared a few weeks ago… these are the final product!
My letterpress printer called during production to tell me how much he applauds my usage of white crane lettra. I loved this call so much, because I base all my decisions off of my natural style and vision for the couple's wedding, without a great deal of formal education in graphic design. I tend to LOVE letterpress on stark white because it pops more and he said that he feels the same way! It was so nice to hear that from another designer! This soft sea foam tone is so subtle but really makes a statement on the white paper.
