2015 Family Session by Joelle Grace Photography

Merry Christmas! I am so happy to be home from a wonderful ski trip to Mt. Hood, Oregon with my in-laws and celebrating Jesus' birthday with just Andrew and our Otto. No gifts, no fuss, just jammies, yummy food and Christmas movies. To be honest, we love cozy mornings, afternoons and nights. So this is our favorite way to celebrate a special holiday. When I realized I wanted to take some family pics, I wanted them to represent just that! I am so lucky to know so many talented photographers in the area, and Joelle Grace has become such a good friend of mine. I was so happy she was able to come take these photos for us! Our home is a cookie cutter home in a cookie cutter neighborhood, not even fully decorated (we've lived here for 3 years, one empty room still, still need to frame photos, etc) but boy do we love it! It's perfect for us and feels like home. I was a little hesitant to let a photographer come shoot here, knowing the secret corners of this home that Instagram is able to hide, but Joelle Grace made us feel so comfortable and she did an amazing job! We had a lovely morning making pancakes, drinking coffee and cuddling with Otto. Below are some of my favorites!

Sorry for the amount of photos, PDA and seemingly self-absorbtion (lol). I just love these two boys so much and they make me happy every single day. My biggest blessing in life is meeting Andrew Austin and I am thankful for all he has brought to my life (including our destroykin, Otto).
Ephesians 5:25, 28... Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

Megan + Joe | Smyrna, Tennessee

YAY! So happy to blog this next Spring wedding! As always, better late than never. This one was recently published in Nashville Lifestyle Weddings Magazine! Megan and her bridesmaids graced the cover of the magazine and I am so happy for them! This beautiful bridal party deserved it. I am going to share just a few highlights below, as their wedding will also be featured on Snippet and Ink soon. Can't wait!
Megan and Joe wed at the stunning Bloomsbury Farms. I can't say enough about this property and family. Venue owner, Lauren, is beyond easy to work with. She is the most gracious hostess I have met to date, wedding or not. Her property has beauty in every nook and cranny, it is where they live, work, love… and it shows. It made for the perfect backdrop for Megan and Joe's classic wedding style with southern flare. 
Despite the 100% chance of rain, chandelier shattering, high winds, transportation failure x 2… the day was as gorgeous as ever. Literally blue skies above the rolling hills at the farm and a cool breeze in the crisp air (we got lucky with the winds holding off until later in the night). Their team of vendors rolled with the punches, making it such a wonderful event. I was so thankful to be there and apart of their day. Austin Gros was a subtle machine (ha) capturing every detail and moment so quickly and perfectly but also being as laid-back as they come. It was a pleasure to work with every vendor and watch this stunning wedding come to life! (All vendors listed at end of post)

Love reliving this joyful day! I have known the bride and groom for years (we all attended HS together... and yes, they are high school sweethearts!) so it was so amazing to reconnect and see where their relationship has taken them. They are so happy together + and I loved getting to know their friends and family. Especially the bride's beautiful mom and sister, who feel like own family! Can't wait to see where 2016 takes them.
